A group of friends
passionate about computers
ConfiguraPC was born from a group conversation. The same question we've asked ourselves hundreds of times: "What computer would you recommend for what I need to do?"
๐ก How this site was born
It all started when one of us wanted to buy a laptop to do programming with local AI. He searched online and found the same problem as always: generic lists, articles full of jargon without context and comparisons that didn't answer the real question. He didn't need to know the RTX 4090 was the most powerful GPU on the market โ he needed to know whether with his โฌ1,200 budget he could run language models decently and which component was actually critical for that.
That's where the idea came from: a site that answers concrete questions from concrete people. If you're going to program, RAM matters most, and if you want to run local AI, GPU VRAM matters most. If you're going to edit video, accelerated codecs and a Mac's unified memory can change the equation entirely. If you just need a computer for work and browsing, spending โฌ3,000 on a MacBook Pro M5 Max is overkill.
That's exactly what we do here: put real use and budget at the centre of every recommendation.
๐ฏ Our philosophy
There is no "best computer". There's the best one for your case. A Mac mini M4 can be perfectly enough for programming; an RTX 4060 can be more than enough for 1080p gaming. The component that matters most always depends on what you'll do with it.
All our analysis takes into account the price you actually have to pay today in Spain. It makes no sense to recommend a โฌ2,500 setup to someone with โฌ800. That's why we organise the guides by budget tiers: so you know exactly what to expect with what you have.
There are no brands paying us to appear first. There are no manufacturer deals. When we recommend a GPU or a Mac it's because we believe it's the best option for that profile, not because we earn commission. We may add affiliate links someday, but always disclosed transparently.
We try to explain the why behind every recommendation. We don't want you to trust us blindly โ we want you to understand what factors matter so you can make your own informed decision.

๐ฌ Methodology and sources
All FPS and benchmark data is based on tests published by Digital Foundry, Hardware Unboxed, and Gamers Nexus โ the industry reference sources. 3DMark Time Spy scores are the primary performance index. Prices are indicative based on PCComponentes and Amazon.es in Spain.
ConfiguraPC Team
